At Sydney Urban Adventures we are passionate about bringing you amazing Sydney experiences that really show you the heart and soul of this spectacular city. Our aim isn't just to take you places and point out the awesome sights ... we want you to leave with an understanding of what makes this city tick and why we love it so much!
We have tours running every day which will unlock the secrets and hidden gems of Australia's harbour city. Most importantly, these tours are brought to life by a team of amazing people who will guide you through their favourite places.
We are so proud to be a part of the Urban Adventures network because we know we are part of a team that offers unique experiences in over 100 cities on the planet. The entire Urban Adventures network is all about showing people the real sides of the city they represent and that is something that we are passionate about also.
Our philosophy is "Don't just vist Sydney ... Live it!" and here are the people who will help you do just that:
Vic ... he wins the hearts of everyone he spends time with. With his Chilean background, Vic brings real charm, charisma and passion to his tours. Vic also takes students around Australia, New Zealand and Fiji - a truly international soul.
Matt ... an Aussie through and through, Matt's passion is the life and times of colonial Australia, with a focus on convict society. He's also a part-time actor and proud dad.
Sal ... is there a busier girl in Australia than Sal? Her energy knows no limits and she embraces life with a fiery passion. Sal works part-time as a Bridge Climb guide, she gives drumming lessons, she hosts pub trivia, she surfs a long-board ... need we say more?
Gaz ... the entertainer! Part-time actor and Rocks aficionado, Gaz delights you with quirky facts and ribald stories from colonial times. Gaz also runs tours through Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, as well as educational tours around Sydney for school students.
Brendan ... another part-time actor, Brendan is extremely knowledgable when it comes to Australian history, botany and fauna. Brendan has grown up in Sydney and loves showing off her many charms and secrets.
Jackson ... Jacko is another Bridge Climb guide who loves stepping back in time on our tours through the old parts of Sydney. His gentle and endearing nature means you'll feel as though you're out for the day with a friend.
Colin ... the honorary Brit, Colin comes from "Old South Wales" and now happily calls New South Wales his home. "Can you blame me?" he tells me, "who wouldn't prefer to live here?"
Michael ... our newest addition - Michael is extremely well travelled after 20 years with Qantas. His adventures have taken him into the deepest parts of Africa and his passion for culture and people from across the globe shines through in all he does.
John ... our Operations Manager. John grew up on Sydney's northern beaches and then spent his early adult life travelling the globe. With amazing beaches and national parks on our door-step and with 2 older brothers, he was kind of pushed into surfing. For him, that's one thing Sydney has over most world-class cities he's been to - really beautiful beaches with great surf.
A quick word from the OM:
Our team includes a number of actors and this isn't really surprising. Actors are drawn to this industry because they have an amazing ability to relate to people from all walks of life. Given the fickle nature of the acting industry, it really is not surprising to see them involved in other, very separate spheres such as tourism. And it's not surprising to see our team of actors making their home in Sydney. Sydney not only offers an amazing outdoor life, culturally it's very rich as well. Many visitors are surprised to find out just how complex Sydney's cultural side is. It really is the ultimate destination, no matter what you're into.
What do I love to do when I'm not showing off Sydney? I love nothing more than escaping to a remote beach in a national park 4 hours north of Sydney. I pitch a tent and set up camp and then enjoy the amazing wilderness of Australia. The best of this - sharing a wave with a dolphin - still the most amazing experience I can imagine!
And the thing I most love about travel is the wonderful people I get to meet. Operating Sydney Urban Adventures is like travel without leaving home. You get to meet and enjoy great people from around the world every day ... people who come to love this city as much as we do. It's the most rewarding industry I can imagine being a part of.
Most of our team have grown up in Sydney; those who didn't moved here because of the amazing lifestyle this city offers. If you are into the outdoor life then this is one of the best places in the world to live. Sydney has stunning beaches, national parks, mountains with awesome bushwalks 90 minutes away and of course, the amazing harbour. With the temperate maritime climate we enjoy here, every day on the harbour you will find people sailing, kayaking, swimming, fishing and even scuba diving.
